On 2 and 4 April, Bayerischer Rundfunk will test the first pen & paper "Tatort" on ARD's Twitch channel. Under the direction of writer Mháire Stritter, actor Ferdinand Hofer, streamer Baso and "Rocket Bean" Florentin Will will investigate "Gaiglreuth - Tot klickt gut".

Following last year's chat-based crime game (German) from Südwestrundfunk (SWR), Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) is now trying its hand at an innovative gaming spin-off. "Tatort: Gaiglreuth - Tot klickt gut" is planned for 2 and 4 April at 7pm as the first pen-and-paper edition of the successful crime movie series and will be streamed on the ARD Twitch channel.

The story is set in the fictional Bavarian village of Gaiglreuth, a hotspot for Instagram tourists. After the death of a well-known influencer on the shores of the lake, the character Kalli Hammermann, played by Ferdinand Hofer, who is on holiday in Gaiglsreuth, investigates. Kalli Hammermann regularly appears in the Munich editions of the TV series. He is assisted by the local village policeman Sebastian Lechner and the aspiring chief inspector Julia Kröll. Lechner is played by actor and Rocket Beans host Florentin Will, and Kröll by streamer Baso.

Mháire Stritter of Orkenspalter TV, who recently also co-curated the gaming exhibition at Zeppelin Museum Friedrichshafen, will lead the Pen & Paper case, the story of which will unfold over the course of the game. The author, presenter and journalist also spun the threads of "Gaiglreuth - Tot klickt gut".

"Tatort" has been broadcast since 1970 and is a series of self-contained crime movies in which dozens of investigative teams have been used over the years, depending on the TV production company responsible. It is a joint production of ARD, ORF and SRF. To date, over 1200 "Tatort" films have been made and broadcast.
