At its third meeting for 2024, the Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung funding committee also considered two games and an XR production. A total of 180,000 Euros will be divided equally among the projects from Leipzig and Dresden.

This means that the current round of funding was, at least in the new media sector, a purely Saxon affair. In total, the Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung (MDM) has funded 38 projects with 5.76 million euros.

The XR-Experience DeMaré by Emilia Sánchez Chiquetti of Actrio Studio and the two games Nightmare Survivor by Fourexo Entertainment and NoFathersLand by ROTxBLAU benefited from project development funding in the new media sector. All three received a grant of 60,000 Euros each.

The MDM is the film funding agency for the three federal states of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. Compared to the funding agencies of other federal states, which have a significantly larger budget, the MDM started funding games relatively late.
