BMWK Funds Esports Business Initiation Trip to the UK

At the end of October, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy is funding the first business trip focussed on esport to the UK. Twelve German companies can take part in the business development trip to Manchester and London.
The project is primarily aimed at small and medium-sized German companies, self-employed persons in the commercial sector as well as specialist freelancers and business-related service providers who are active in the esports ecosystem. The focus of the business initiation trip is intensive networking with industry players and decision-makers in the sector, individual business appointments with British companies and target customers as well as the provision of detailed industry-specific information in order to initiate a "UK market entry" or expand existing market activities.
Registration for the trip is open until 28 June. A maximum of twelve companies from Germany can take part in the trip, which is also the first business initiation trip focusing on esports to be funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz, BMWK).
The trip itself will take place from 28 to 31 October 2024 and will visit Manchester and London. In addition to joint briefings and panel discussions in both cities, the programme also includes individual business meetings in the respective areas. There is also the option of an individual departure to allow time for further individual business meetings. On an individual and private basis, participants will also have the opportunity to attend the League of Legends World Championship Finals in London on 2 November.
The sponsored business initiation trip is organised by Trade Horizons Limited in association with Creative Loops International. Support is being provided by the German Games Industry Association game, the British Industry Association UKIE and Games/Bayern of Medien.Bayern.
