In the current round of the Games BW funding programme, MFG Baden-Württemberg is supporting four projects above and seven projects below the €20,000 threshold. The largest amounts of funding are going to Karlsruhe and Ludwigsburg.

It was the last major funding round for the Games BW programme this year, but it brought good news for a total of eleven games projects. The jury appointed by MFG Baden-Württemberg approved a total of €833,000 in funding.

Zeitland media & games from Ludwigsburg received by far the highest amount of funding, 354,100 euros. The company had applied for production funding for the mystery adventure "Black Castle", which is set in the Black Forest. kr3m. media from Karlsruhe will receive just over €180,000 for the casual game "Sudoku Battle Royale". Walking Tree Games from Karlsruhe and Mucks! Games from Ludwigsburg will receive €115,392 and €43,350 respectively for the development of a prototype. Walking Tree Games is working on the survival-building strategy game "Under the Mountain", Mucks! Games is working on the 2D point-and-click adventure game "Frieda is Changing".

Of the seven applications for up to €20,000, six projects received the maximum amount. These were "Archaeology Simulator" by StickyStoneStudio, Gundelfingen, "DualRunners" by Ten Eyes media, Weingarten, "Ghosty Paw" by Super Pewter, Ebersbach-Musbach, "Memoria Palatina" by Pepergy - Arne Kaiser, Heidelberg, the "Seal" project by SmokeStab, Bruchsal and "The Way Ahead" by Dreamcloud Interactive, Stuttgart. Trapped Predator from Ludwigsburg, who submitted the project "Green Sails" and received 19,772 euros in funding, narrowly missed out on the maximum funding for concepts.
