This year's Warhammer Skulls Showcase surpassed last year's viewership record. The showcase itself was watched over 30 million times, while the individual trailers received a combined total of 15 million views.

Games Workshop has announced that this year's Warhammer Skulls showcase broke last year's record, with over 30 million views of the showcase itself and more than 15 million views of individual trailers across all channels and platforms. The annual festival for Warhammer video games, featuring many partner studios, began with what are perhaps its biggest announcements to date: Dark Heresy, Dawn of War - Definitive Edition and Boltgun 2.

Four of the games included in the week-long event received six-figure wishlists during the event itself, while four titles charted in GameDiscoverCo's countdown of the 'trending' unreleased Steam games that gained the most new followers over seven days. Second place went to Owlcat's CRPG Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy, fifth place to Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Definitive Edition from Relic Entertainment, eleventh place to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Master Crafted Edition from Sega, and twelfth place to Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 from Auroch Digital and Big Fan Games.

Following the announcement of Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy at the Warhammer Skulls Showcase, Owlcat Games released the Lex Imperialis DLC for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader yesterday. Players can now take advantage of a new Arbitrator companion and Cyber Mastiff Familiar, as well as enjoy an additional 15 hours of storyline. "It's also a great time for new players to jump into the Rogue Trader adventure if they haven't already. Our next big title, Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy, was also incredibly well received - the attention and volume of questions we've got have been remarkable. We're planning to share more details in the coming months, so stay tuned," said Anatoly Shestov, Executive Producer at Owlcat Games.

At the showcase, Fatshark from Sweden also announced a new class for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, which was finally released on 23 June. This is the first new class since the game's launch and comes with Cyber Mastiff support. "Announcing the Arbites Class at Skulls was an incredible moment for us and the community. The response has been phenomenal. There was a lot of speculation from the teaser. Once it finally came out we really felt the excitement from the community and I think we exceeded their expectations," said Juan Martinez, Executive Producer. "The class only released yesterday and we're already seeing Darktide players surprising us with the builds they're making for their Arbitrators. It's been amazing to watch it get so much love from the community so quickly, it really shows how much the Arbites resonate with the way people want to play."

The Siege Mode for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment, was also announced at the showcase. The Siege mode will arrive on 26 June as a free PVE update, with Season Pass owners also able to receive new cosmetic packs, including The White Scars Chapter Pack and The Blood Angels Cosmetic Pack. Space Marine 2 has sold over seven million copies in less than a year.

Warhammer Skulls will make a comeback in 2026 to celebrate its tenth anniversary.

Also announced during the showcase: - Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Definitive Edition, developed by Relic Entertainment, will be released for PC later this year. This Definitive Edition includes all the content from the original Dawn of War and its standalone expansion packs, including four classic campaigns, nine armies and over 200 maps. The game will feature 4K support, upscaled textures (four times the resolution of the originals) and image-based lighting, offering a higher level of fidelity while retaining the classic experience.
