Hans Ippisch has founded HAIP to provide a corporate home for his various projects. The name itself first appeared as ‘HAIP Software’ in the credits of a game in which Ippisch was involved 37 years ago.

Just a few weeks ago, Hans Ippisch announced two of his new projects: together with BBG Entertainment and Fritz Egner, the music quiz game ‘Quiz mit Fritz’ is being developed and published. And Ippisch is building up the German business for the Vigamus Group as Country Manager. In order to give his projects, especially in the areas of development and publishing, an entrepreneurial umbrella, Ippisch has now founded his own company, HAIP UG.

The name itself is not new, although it has never been registered as a company. ‘HAIP Software’ first appeared in the game ‘Soldier!’ published by Rainbow Arts in 1987. According to Ippisch, who co-developed the title, it was the first game to be released in Germany to be banned by the German Federal Department for Media Harmful to Young Persons.

In the near future, HAIP will be appearing primarily in the collaboration between Ippisch and BBG. "With HAIP, I want to implement exciting ideas together with proven partners, and in a way and for platforms that are best suited for them. The 'Quiz mit Fritz' game, developed in close collaboration with Fritz Egner, will be released by BBG Entertainment this summer. This is the first time I have been able to combine my passion for music and games," says Hans Ippisch. In addition to the game, Ippisch is working with BGG on an educational title and the exploitation of well-known IPs.
