As usual, the Stiftung Digitale Spielekultur (Digital Games Culture Foundation) has put out a call for tenders for the communication work and the redesign of the website for the German Computer Games Award 2024. The call for tenders also reveals a rough schedule for the prize, which will be awarded in Munich in 2024.

However, companies wishing to take on the communications work or update the website will need to act quickly. The deadline for website updates is 15 November, and 17 November for communications work. The services for the German Computer Game Award are put out to public tender every year by the Stiftung Digitale Spielekultur, which coordinates the organisation as the awarding body, so the tender itself is not unusual.

Although the date for the German Computer Game Award 2024 has not yet been set, the call for entries already gives us a lot of information about the timing. The submission phase is expected to start in January. The two jury meetings are then planned for early February and early March. The public vote will take place in March/April, with the awards ceremony itself taking place in mid to late April 2024.

What is exciting about the announcement of the website revision is that the organisers are apparently planning to launch an independent, English-language landing page for the German Computer Game Award. As internationalisation is also mentioned separately in the communication work, the organisers seem to want to position the DCP more internationally in the future.
