Indie developer grownarts is preparing to launch the Kickstarter campaign for its first game, Paws and Leaves - A Last Tale. The campaign will go live on 06 November at 18:00 CEST. A prototype demo is already available on Steam to get a first look at the game. The studio describes the title as follows: "In Paws and Leaves, players assume the role of 'Me', a young fox who embarks on a poignant final journey after being bitten by a snake. With the guidance of Ani, a charming butterfly, players will explore a beautiful yet melancholic world where memories blur with reality, inviting them on a journey through life's fleeting moments." The game will be self-published by grownarts with a target release date of September 2026.

The project has received funding for concept and prototype production from nordmedia (2019-2022), and has been featured at the Indie Arena booth at gamescom and TikTok Germany's indie-dev programme. Paws and Leaves has already won the Ubisoft Newcomer Award (2022). It was nominated for Best Concept at German Dev Days (2020) and for the Critics' Choice Award - Indie Cup Germany (2023). Founded by Florian Haase, grownarts from Brake in Lower Saxony is an indie game studio dedicated to creating digital media and games that address social issues and inspire players to reflect on deeper themes.
