Auch Vivendi Universal Games konnte im zurückliegendem vierten Quartal einen leichten Umsatzanstieg verbuchen. Mit 292 Mio. Euro wurde der Umsatz im Vergleich zum Vorjahreszeitraum um zwei Prozent gesteigert (Q4 2001: 287 Mio. Euro). Als Highlights des vierten Quartals benennt VU Games "Der Herr der Ringe: Die Gefährten", "Spyro The Dragon: Enter The Dragonfly", "No One Lives Forever 2" und "Dark Age Of Camelot: Shrouded Isles". Für das Gesamtjahr liegt die Umsatzsteigerung bei 21 Prozent. Konnte die Gamesdivision von Vivendi im Geschäftjahr 2001 noch knapp 657 Mio. Euro zum Konzernergebnis beitragen, beläuft sich dieser Wert nun auf 794 Mio. Euro. Hierzu habe besonders der PC-Bereich beigetragen. Stärkster Titel 2002 war wie zu erwarten "WarCraft III". Die weiteren Keytitel benennt VU Games mit "Nascar Racing 2002 Season", "Crash Bandicoot - Der Zorn des Cortex" "Das Ding aus einer anderen Welt", "Barbie als Rapunzel", "Jumpstart Advance", "Bruce Lee: Quest Of The Dragon", "Outlaw Golf" und "Hunter - The Reckoning".
