Modern Times Group Announces New Corporate Structure and Management Changes

With Capital Markets Day approaching, Sweden's Modern Times Group (MTG) has set a new course for the future. The idea of the “Gaming Village” has been further developed with two districts. This has been accompanied by personnel changes. Some studio heads are taking on new roles, while others are leaving the company.
When we became a mobile-first pure-play group in 2022 we had a clear vision and strategy to become one of the leading mobile gaming groups in the world. The acquisition of Plarium has enabled us to take a major leap forward towards that vision. We continue to have high ambitions, and I am very excited to dive into the details of our future vision, strategy and goals at our Capital Markets Day on the 9th of October," says Maria Redin, President and CEO of MTG.
Even though the CEO is keeping many details for the upcoming meeting with investors, the new corporate structure that MTG has adopted has already been announced today. MTG refers to this as a further development of the “One Village” organizational structure. Specifically, the village will have two districts. The Midcore District will consist of the studios InnoGames, Snowprint, Hutch, and Ninja Kiwi, as well as Plarium and the Finnish studio Futureplay. The Casual District currently consists exclusively of the PlaySimple studio. However, additional studios and teams are expected to join.
The new organizational structure will be implemented on January 1, 2026. It will also involve numerous personnel changes. From a German perspective, the biggest change is the move of InnoGames co-founder and CEO Hendrik Klindworth to the management of the Midcore District. As reported, he will take on the role of Executive Chairman there.
However, he will not be solely responsible for the important Midcore District. Oliver Bulloss will take on the position of CEO of the Midcore District, effectively forming a dual leadership team. Bulloss is currently MTG's Chief Product Officer and has extensive management experience, which he gained as General Manager of companies such as King, Rovio, and NaturalMotion Zynga.
Bulloss's involvement as interim CEO of Hutch should also be seen in this context, before he handed over the management of the studio to Andy Watson in July.
Schraga Mor, CEO of Plarium, has decided to leave the business, according to MTG. Mor had been CEO of Plarium since 2023 and managed the studio's transformation and onboarding at MTG, for which MTG expressly thanks him in the press release.
Casual Districts is headed by PlaySimple CEO Yoav Ecker. Ecker, who has worked for Crazy Labs, Playtika, and most recently Product Madness during his career, took over the position in August. He succeeded Siddhanth Jain, one of the founders of PlaySimple. Jain moved to the board as chairman, but will also leave at the end of the year after a transition period. The other co-founders of PlaySimple, Preeti Reddy and Suraj Nalin, already left the company in July.
