Over 1,100 visitors to the Business Ground and around 2,300 visitors to the Play Ground make the first Games Ground festival in Berlin a success that the organisers hope to build on next year.

With panels, workshops and games, the organisers invited trade visitors and the general public to Berlin's Alte Münze from 9 to 11 November for the debut of the new Games Ground festival. And it was a success, according to the organisers: "The overwhelmingly positive response and the full halls prove that our festival is very popular in the gaming event landscape and that we are on the right track," said Tom Achsel, Communications Manager at Games Ground and Head of Events & Marketing at Games Academy.

In the end, the organisers counted 1,140 registered trade visitors on the so-called "Business Ground". The Play Ground, which was open to the general public, attracted around 2,300 visitors.

Although no date has yet been set, the organisers are planning a follow-up event. "It went incredibly well for a first event. We want to take the next step next year and we already have a lot of ideas about how we can expand both the programme and the exhibition in this great location," promises Achsel.
