Amir Satvat to Open Gamescom Dev With Keynote Speech; Further Speakers Confirmed

A good two months before the start of gamescom dev, the organisers have announced Amir Satvat as the opening keynote speaker. Seth Rosen, Fleur Marty, Kim Belair, Fiona Cherbak, Nikky Armstrong, Mia Ginaé Watkins, Noor Amin and Emi Nguyen have also been confirmed as speakers.

UK: Government Announces Social Media Ban For Under-16s; UKIE Responds With Relief

Keir Starmer’s UK government has announced plans to introduce a social media ban for under-16s. The first restrictions are set to be introduced as early as spring 2027. Video games are excluded from the regulations. UKIE reacted with relief, but nevertheless points to the stricter PEGI rules.
