A few weeks before the start, MAG-C in Erfurt has announced new details about the upcoming convention. Not only is the program finalized, but there are also concrete figures: 130 exhibitors await visitors across 12,000 square meters. The indie-area with studios like Pipapo, kalaidoscube and Toukana is sponsored by ByteRockers' Games.

MAG-C will take place this year on January 31 and February 1, making it the first gaming convention of the year in Germany. Once again, thousands of visitors are expected in Erfurt for the meeting place for fans of the manga, anime, gaming, and cosplay scene, which is what “MAG-C” stands for.

In keeping with this, Messe Erfurt, the organizer, has announced the first details. A total of 130 exhibitors are expected. They will be showcasing artwork, products, and ideas across 12,000 square meters. Workshops, panels, competitions, gaming areas, K-pop performances, and photo spots will keep visitors entertained.

In addition to cosplay events such as the championship and the show cup, another highlight of the fair is the Indie Games Area. This year, it is sponsored by ByteRocker's Games. "Indies are the creative heart of the gaming scene: bold, eager to experiment, and close to the community. We want to support this energy and can't wait to discover exciting games on site and talk to developers and visitors," says ByteRocker's CEO Maik Reichelt, quoted on the MAG-C website.

According to Messe Erfurt, MAG-C 2026 will feature Map Map from Pipapo Games, Tiny Bookshop by neoludic, Garden Ink by Kranich Games, Stunt Boost by byting Games, Glintseeker Island by Half Soup Laps, Recur by kaleidoscube, Warding Witches by Sonorode, Star Birds by Toukana, Kickin Brass by Stepheight, When Stars Align by heartdrivengames, Tidal Rush by Shiny Dynamics, Shifting Lands by Prvaak, Unreachable by Buckfish, Scrappy by PlayInsight Studios, and Seaward by The Roof will be on display.

Last year, MAG-C attracted a total of 12,300 visitors, 500 more than in 2024 (in German). In addition, an Indie Award was presented at the fair for the first time in 2025.
