Jens Kosche is Leaving Electronic Arts

After more than two decades, Jens Kosche, most recently Senior Director Commercial Europe, has left Electronic Arts to pursue new challenges.
Jens Kosche, who has held positions of responsibility at Electronic Arts in Europe for many years, is to leave the games publisher. This is revealed in a post on LinkedIn: "After 22 incredible years at EA, my journey is taking a new direction this week. I've had the privilege to witness and influence many shifts in the industry, growing teams and revenue to organizing the centralization of all retail activities in Europe. Now, it's time to step back and craft a new vision for my future," Koshe wrote. There has been no official announcement of his departure. However, Electronic Arts does not usually comment publicly on position changes at this level.
Kosche, most recently Senior Director Commercial Europe, has also played a key role in shaping the German games industry over the past two decades. He joined Electronic Arts Germany in 2023 and rose to become Sales Director for Germany and Austria in the following years. In 2014 (in German), he took over as Managing Director of Electronic Arts Germany. He later became a member of the first board (in German) of the game association following the merger. From 2020, he gradually took on responsibility at European level and handed over (in German) the management of Electronic Arts in Germany to Michaele Bartelt-Krantz.
Before Kosche, numerous other German EA managers had already taken on international roles within the group, including Dr Gerhard Florin and Olaf Coenen, who, like Kosche, once headed Electronic Arts GmbH in Cologne, as well as Dr Jens-Uwe Intat, Jörg Trouvain and Oliver Kaltner. Michaela Bartelt-Krantz is by no means limited to her role in Germany. She is also Senior Director Worldwide Localisation.
