The first step for founders – no matter if they are a team or a solo developer – is to fill out a form and attach their current pitch deck and a financing plan for the next year. The selection of the participating start-ups will be made by a qualified jury during a meeting on 16 December. The jury will take criterias like innovation content, team constellation, market opportunities, and compatibility with the R42 Games Accelerator into account.

Further information about the program, the coaches and mentors can be found on the webpage of R42. Yuna Avetysyan from the R42 Games Accelerator will also answer any questions.

The R42 Games Accelerator offers founders numerous advantages. These range from the coaching, mentoring, and networking events that are standard in such programs to special benefits associated with the location of R42 in Leipzig. Participants can benefit from the ecosystem and infrastructure, such as the R42 studio for producing multimedia content or the property's event arena, which can be used for release events.

Participation by the start-ups is co-financed by the City of Leipzig's economic development agency. There are no participation fees for founders. In addition, as part of the R42 Games Accelerator, start-ups have the chance to receive start-up funding of €30,000 from the Free State of Saxony.

"The R42 Games Accelerator is a wonderful opportunity for start-ups to develop further and implement their ideas with targeted support," says Team lead Marleen Wagner.
